For our Humans of Neurones IT Asia (NITA) series, we will be introducing our people in NITA. This month, we will be introducing Daniel, our General Manager.
Can you give us a short introduction about yourself?
I am Daniel TA and I have been with Neurones IT Asia for more than 4 years. I joined NITA as a Pre-Sales Executive and was recently appointed as the General Manager.
I have a mathematics background (Bachelor) with a Master’s degree in Computer Sciences. I have always wanted to work in Security because I have a thirst for knowledge and love to solve problems.
Because of that, I started my career as a Security Engineer performing vulnerability tests. I then moved on to business-oriented positions such as a Service Delivery manager. I was offered a job at NITA as a Pre-Sales Executive which allows me to design the future services from scratch. I saw this as an opportunity for me to bring in new ideas and solutions which would be successful for NITA.
“I’m a lucky person to be able to love my work and to look forward to dealing with everyday challenges.”
What do you do in your work?
As a GM, I have to understand where the business is and to give the sales team the right tool to develop our market share. Secondly, I make sure that all employees in the company have the right support to develop their careers and bring value to our customers. And finally, I ensure that the company is profitable.
I’m a lucky person to be able to love my work and to look forward to dealing with everyday challenges. I am always willing to go the extra mile. The interactions with my colleagues and manager (everyone has a manager 😊) are also important, I cannot see myself staying motivated alone without interacting with others.
“A healthy work environment is also very important at Neurones IT Asia since no knowledge can be developed if the people are sick or working in a toxic environment. “
What is Neurones IT Asia?
Neurones IT Asia advises companies on the best way to use IT to leverage their business.
Our everyday objective is to develop and maintain knowledge and we are working hard to promote this expertise in Singapore. In the past few years, we have developed certain niche technologies that are trending in the market today which we will share about soon.
A healthy work environment is also very important at Neurones IT Asia since no knowledge can be developed if the people are sick or working in a toxic environment. Therefore, we have a committee dedicated to activities such as workouts, team building events and environmental sustainability events to maintain our work culture and spend more quality time with our colleagues.
Last year, we put in place a structure to encourage employees to propose initiatives. In the past two years, Neurones IT Asia sponsored the “Run against the cancer” and our employees organised trainings to prepare for the run. Even at present, our employees are organised groups workouts every week and they can lookout for upcoming free Yoga sessions and many more to come.
In the future, I hope to see Neurones IT Asia to be one of the leading and recognised brand in our industry in Singapore and to constantly develop new solutions at the edge of innovation.
